Expanding Our Team In Vietnam

At Novas, we’re continuously striving to achieve superior client outcomes, and over the years, we’ve experimented and invested in innovative techniques and business decisions to do this.

Part of this was establishing a dedicated estimating team in Vietnam and just recently, on our Vietnam team’s 3 year anniversary, we launched our brand new office base in Ho Chi Minh City.

Investing in people

Over these last 3 years, we’ve expanded from a small team of 5 to a continuously growing team of 20, who are focussed on providing strong estimating services across all Novas divisions.

Understanding the critical role they play, we continue to invest resources into training and developing each team member.

Novas Vietnam Manager, Jess Wong, explains just how far they’ve come:

“We have relocated several times over the last 3 years, which definitely reflects the current growth stage we’re in. We’re also working hard to implement our organisational strategies into individual levels.”

Overcoming challenges

Making the move from Melbourne to Vietnam was always going to be a huge and life changing experience for Jess, but having such confidence in the Novas vision made it an exciting one:

“I’m facing challenges around adapting to the weather, culture, language barrier, and maintaining my personal relationships back home. But the Novas Vietnam team are a young, energetic, passionate and highly engaged team to be working in. Makes me want to get out of bed to be a part of it all.”

Strong company culture

Our team based in Vietnam focus on fostering a strong sense of culture, and really aim towards working and playing hard.

Senior Estimator, Kiet Luu, explains: “This means we always go all out on everything we do, whether that’s completing projects on time, or celebrating our team’s success.”

Starting as Novas’ very first Vietnam-based employee, Kiet is very proud of the progress the team has made:

Our launch event was more than officially opening our new premises — it was a celebration of each and every member of the Novas Vietnam team.

“It’s really important that we recognise and celebrate the team’s wins, and the team in Vietnam are such a key element to our whole organisation. This was a true celebration of their dedication and hard work, as well as a commitment from myself and the rest of Senior Management towards each of the team over there,” says Todd Foster, Novas Managing Director.

The new site will help foster the team’s developmental growth with the addition of improved facilities, as well as creating space for a continuously growing staff base.

Always looking for better ways

We’re always looking to improve and innovate, and the Novas team in Vietnam is a critical part in ensuring our clients are always receiving the best possible customer service, products and services.

We’re really excited by what the future holds as we look towards using our new Vietnam site as our hub to expand our Sales into the South East Asian region.
